Mr. Klevenhagen graduated from The University of Texas with a B.B.A. in Finance in 1994, and earned his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 1997. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and is admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court, Southern District of Texas.
Since becoming a licensed attorney, Mr. Klevenhagen has been representing individual and corporate clients in all aspects of civil litigation and probate. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trials, acted as lead attorney in approximately 20 jury trials and about the same number as the assisting attorney. His clients include individuals as well as both large and small companies. He has likewise acted as outside general counsel assisting corporate clients in the formation of business entities, collections, contract disputes, contract drafting and general consulting on legal matters.
Mr. Klevenhagen’s areas of practice include probate, estates, wills, trusts, guardianship, fiduciary litigation, commercial litigation, insurance disputes, breach of contract, consumer protection, injury claims and general civil litigation.
Mr. Klevenhagen is a member of numerous community and charitable organizations including: Houston 100 Club (life member), Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo (life member), Young Friends of Ronald McDonald House (life member), Young Texans Against Cancer (founding member), Former Texas Rangers Association (life member), Chapelwood Methodist Church and is an Eagle Scout. Mr. Klevenhagen is a native Houstonian and is married to Kimberly Klevenhagen. They have one daughter, Courtney, and one son, John IV.
